MatchMothers: mothers apart from their children Buddy App

Member guidelines & privacy

Please read these before you join. They keep the Buddy App kind and safe. (Draft wording for MatchMothers to review.)

Be kind

  • Treat every member with kindness and respect. Everyone's situation is different: no judging, pressure or unsolicited advice.
  • What's shared in a chat stays in the chat. Never pass on another member's story or details.
  • No selling, recruiting or promotion of businesses.
  • Meet for the first time somewhere public, and tell someone where you're going.

What other members can see

  • Always (to approved members): your first name, town and the first half of your postcode, your approximate distance, your photo, bio and interests.
  • Never shown to other members: anything you record about your children. Only you and the MatchMothers team can see it.
  • Only after you accept their request: your full name, email, phone number and address.
  • You can hide yourself from search, remove a connection or block someone at any time.

How we use your data

MatchMothers stores your details to run the Buddy service and to manage your membership. Our staff can see your full profile and can read messages only when investigating a report. We never sell your data. You can ask us to export or delete your data at any time by contacting the MatchMothers team.

Something wrong?

Use Report on any member's profile, or in a chat. Our team reviews every report. If you're ever in immediate danger, call 999.
